To fully implement the ecological priority development concept and achieve sustainable development of the fishery industry, on June 6, the demonstration zone launched a "Fish Release Day" restocking and release activity, releasing millions of fish fry into the sea. This activity was hosted by the Tongzhou Bay Demonstration Zone Management Committee, undertaken by the Demonstration Zone Agriculture and Rural Affairs Office and Nantong Port Group Construction Investment Co., Ltd., and co-organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Institute of Marine Fisheries.

The event, themed "Conserving Aquatic Biological Resources and Promoting Harmonious Coexistence between Humans and Nature," aims to actively build a beautiful marine ecological environment of "fish and water affinity" and harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, making "blue sea and leaping fish" a distinctive mark of Tongzhou Bay's marine ecological civilization. According to statistics, a total of 2.5 million half-smooth sole, 1.87 million pufferfish, and 4 million yellow croaker were released during this activity.

The release of fish fry plays a positive role in conserving and increasing aquatic organisms, maintaining aquatic biodiversity, protecting fishery resources, promoting the construction of aquatic ecological civilization, and promoting the sustainable development of the fishery industry. In recent years, the demonstration zone has always adhered to the path of ecological priority and green development, strictly implemented relevant regulations on sea area fishing bans, severely cracked down on illegal fishing, continuously deepened the effectiveness of restocking and release activities, continuously promoted the improvement and restoration of the coastline, restored the aquatic ecological environment, helped achieve harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, and built a solid marine ecological security barrier.

Relevant responsible comrades from the Jiangsu Provincial Institute of Marine Fisheries, Nantong Port Group Construction Investment Co., Ltd., the Demonstration Zone's Marine and Fisheries Bureau, the Agricultural Office, Sanyu Town, and the Tongzhou Bay Maritime Patrol and Law Enforcement Detachment attended the event.
