Building Merit in Tongzhou Bay, Inspiring Women's Ambition—Tongzhou Bay Demonstration Zone Holds a Symposium to Celebrate International Women's Day

On the afternoon of March 7, women representatives from all walks of life in the demonstration zone gathered together to celebrate the upcoming 113th International Women's Day. Cao Suning, a first-level investigator of the demonstration zone, attended the symposium and delivered a speech. Yu Xiaoxia, chairwoman of the Women's Federation, presided over the symposium.

Cao Suning, on behalf of the Party Working Committee and the Administrative Committee of the demonstration zone, extended festival greetings and sincere blessings to the women of the demonstration zone. He pointed out that in 2022, the major economic indicators of the demonstration zone showed steady and positive growth, which also embodies the hard work and wisdom of the women in the demonstration zone, full of their creativity and dedication. Women have actively taken on responsibilities, shouldered heavy burdens, and pressed forward, striving for excellence and progress on all fronts, achieving remarkable results and producing many admirable advanced individuals and deeds.

He emphasized that the new situation and tasks in 2023 have given women's work in the demonstration zone a more lofty mission, and have also provided a broader stage for women to display their talents and achieve success. He hopes that women will always keep the overall development situation in mind, bravely shoulder the mission of the times, take on responsibilities and make contributions in seizing the opportunities to build a new development pattern, fully demonstrating the "beauty of thought, beauty of career, beauty of civilization, and beauty of connotation," and making new and greater contributions to accelerating the high-quality development of the demonstration zone. All levels of women's federations should continue to play their role as a bridge and link, leading women to always closely unite around the Party and effectively uphold the legitimate rights and interests of women. All sectors of society should care about women's affairs, support women's work, and make respect and care for women a true civic quality and social fashion, creating a good social environment for women's development and women's undertakings.

At the symposium, Lu Junhua, director of the Organization and Personnel Bureau of the demonstration zone, read out the "Decision on Commendation of March 8th Red Flag Holders (Collectives) of Tongzhou Bay Demonstration Zone." Ten outstanding women representatives from various industries, including March 8th Red Flag Holders and March 8th Red Flag Collectives, combined their work experience and used vivid examples and full enthusiasm to tell their touching stories of serving, building, and striving for Tongzhou Bay, showcasing the self-respect, self-reliance, self-confidence, and self-improvement of modern women in the demonstration zone and their outstanding contributions.

About 60 people attended the symposium, including all the women's federation executive committee members of the demonstration zone, the 2022 March 8th Red Flag Holders and March 8th Red Flag Collectives, and some women representatives.
