Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, August 31 (Xinhua) -- The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held a meeting on August 31, reviewing the "Regulations on Cadre Education and Training" and the "National Cadre Education and Training Plan (2023-2027)". Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, presided over the meeting.
The meeting pointed out that cadre education and training is a pioneering, foundational, and strategic project for building a high-quality cadre force, playing an irreplaceable role in advancing the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the new great project of Party building. It is necessary to fully implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, earnestly implement the general requirements for Party building in the new era and the Party's organizational line in the new era, deeply understand the decisive significance of the "two establishes," enhance the "four consciousnesses," strengthen the "four confidences," and achieve the "two safeguards." The fundamental goal is to strengthen the ideal belief and purpose, focusing on comprehensively enhancing the ability to govern, to cultivate and build a high-quality cadre force that is politically strong, meets the requirements of the new era, and has the ability to lead socialist modernization.
The meeting stressed that it is necessary to take the in-depth study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the main theme and line, and persistently use the Party's innovative theory to strengthen the Party's foundation and unity. It is necessary to consistently integrate political training throughout the entire cycle of cadre growth, educating and guiding cadres to establish correct views on power, performance, and careers, and improving cadres' political judgment, political understanding, and political execution. It is necessary to promote a precise match between the supply and demand of cadre education and training, better meet the needs of organizations, positions, and cadres, continuously optimize education and training methods, and further enhance the systematic, targeted, and effective nature of education and training. Focusing on the major decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee, combined with the needs of major national strategies, learning and training should be conducted in different fields and on different topics to improve cadres' ability to promote high-quality development, serve the people, and prevent and resolve risks.
