International News: Latest Wool Production Forecast - Australian wool production continues to rise

The Australian Wool Production Forecasting Committee (AWPFC) has recently predicted a wool production of 328,000 tons for the 2022/23 season, a 1.3% increase compared to the 2021/22 season's prediction. This is due to favorable summer and autumn weather conditions in most wool-producing areas, leading to sufficient fodder and feed reserves entering winter.
The Australian Wool Production Forecasting Committee's initial prediction for the 2023/24 season is 332,000 tons, a 1.4% increase from this year's prediction. The sheep population is expected to remain stable, with a 1.7% increase to 72.7 million. ······
