On September 9, Zhang Bing, Party Committee Secretary and Director of the Nantong Municipal Health Commission, led a team to the demonstration zone to investigate the development of the Tongzhou Bay health industry and the construction of the Nantong No. 1 People's Hospital Tongzhou Bay Branch (Tongzhou Bay Demonstration Zone People's Hospital). Ding Feng, Party Committee Secretary, and Shi Hongjie, Deputy Party Committee Secretary and Director of the Management Committee, participated in the investigation.

At the construction site of the Nantong No. 1 People's Hospital Tongzhou Bay Branch (Tongzhou Bay People's Hospital), Zhang Bing carefully examined the hospital's outpatient and emergency construction, functional layout, department settings, and preparations for opening. He gave full affirmation to the achievements made in the development of the demonstration zone's primary-level medical and health system. He pointed out that the new hospital construction project is a vivid practice of implementing the requirements of the municipal Party committee and government's health work, an important measure for vigorously implementing the "peak elevation, strengthening the waist, and strengthening the foundation" project and promoting the modernization of the primary-level diagnosis and treatment system, and an important guarantee for providing nearby high-quality medical and health services to enterprises and residents in the demonstration zone. He hoped that the demonstration zone would accelerate the construction of the hospital project, scientifically plan the future development direction of the hospital, strengthen the construction of the talent team, deepen cooperation with the Nantong No. 1 People's Hospital, and strive to create a high-quality and efficient medical and health service system.

Ding Feng stated that with the care and support of the Municipal Health Commission and the meticulous guidance of the No. 1 People's Hospital, the new hospital construction adheres to the principle of starting at the same pace as the advanced, closely focusing on Nantong's 14th Five-Year Plan for health development, continuously strengthening the construction of close-knit medical consortia, and promoting the new hospital to fully play a leading role, striving to create a tertiary medical and health service system. The demonstration zone will also take this investigation as an opportunity to comprehensively plan a modernized public health system, with higher standards and more practical measures, continuously improving the quality and efficiency of primary-level medical and health services, and promoting the implementation of the "Healthy Tongzhou Bay" goal.
