Recently, a joint liaison and exchange event for Taiwanese investors in Tongzhouwan and Suzhou was successfully held by the Dushu Lake. The event aims to further strengthen the liaison and communication between Tongzhouwan and Taiwanese investors in Suzhou, attracting more Taiwanese businessmen to invest and develop in the Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone. Ding Feng, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone, attended the event and delivered a speech. Shi Hongjie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee, presided over the event. Yang Jian, Director of the Nantong Municipal Taiwan Affairs Office, and Liu Jingfang, President of the Nantong Municipal Taiwanese Business Association, also attended the event.

In his speech, Ding Feng pointed out that the Yangtze River Delta region, represented by Suzhou, is one of the areas with the highest concentration of Taiwanese businesses, the most active Taiwanese investment, and the most frequent cross-strait economic and cultural exchanges. In recent years, in the face of a complex international situation, Taiwanese enterprises have given full play to their technological, management, capital, and talent advantages accumulated from long-term participation in international competition, promoting the transformation and upgrading of industries such as electronics manufacturing, precision machinery, and high-end textiles in the Yangtze River Delta region, demonstrating strong development vitality and resilience.

Ding Feng emphasized that Nantong attaches great importance to cross-strait exchanges and cooperation, continuously optimizing the development environment for Taiwanese businesses, and is one of the first batch of "provincial-level demonstration points for Taiwanese business service work" in Jiangsu Province. The Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone will take advantage of the city's "'Everything is good in Nantong' preferential treatment for Taiwan action", continue to uphold the concept of "one family across the strait", play a greater role in deepening and expanding cross-strait economic exchanges and industrial cooperation, protect the rights and interests of Taiwanese businessmen according to law, implement preferential policies for Taiwanese compatriots in employment, social security, medical care, and children's schooling, and wholeheartedly support Taiwanese enterprises in growing stronger as they integrate into the new development pattern of "dual circulation", providing ample space, a broad stage, and a bright future for Taiwanese businessmen to invest and develop, allowing Taiwanese friends to feel at ease in their development, work smoothly, and live comfortably in Tongzhouwan.

Shi Hongjie stated that today's Tongzhouwan is rising towards the sea and forging ahead, depicting many dreams and carrying more opportunities. He hopes to join hands with Taiwanese businessmen in Suzhou to create the best combination of cross-river integration and collaborative advancement, and jointly establish a model of integrated linkage and mutual benefit and win-win cooperation. He sincerely hopes that Taiwanese businessmen in Suzhou will visit Tongzhouwan more often to experience firsthand the profoundness, beauty, elegance, and warmth of this national strategic highland, the Tongjiang Tonghai Tongzhouwan.

Liu Jingfang, President of the Nantong Municipal Taiwanese Business Association, said that Tongzhouwan has a deep-water seaport, abundant land resources, and a first-class business environment, making it the preferred location for Taiwanese businesses to expand their industries and upgrade. Qiu Shikai, Executive President of the Suzhou Municipal Taiwanese Business Association, said that many Taiwanese businesses are currently in a critical stage of development and transformation, and need to further integrate into the overall situation of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, using Suzhou as a base to radiate to Nantong. Promoting cross-river cooperation is one of the best choices. The association will give full play to its role as a bridge and link, promoting mutual benefit and win-win development between the two sides.
