Tongzhou Bay's "circle of friends" expands again, joining the Yangtze River Delta Integrated Development Taihu Lake Fusion Innovation Alliance

On September 26, the "Expanding the Circle of Friends & Promoting Integration" six-city joining and cooperation project signing ceremony, hosted by the Yangtze River Delta Taihu Integration and Innovation Alliance, was held at Wuxi Taihu College. Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone officially became a member unit of the Yangtze River Delta Taihu Integration and Innovation Alliance. Deng Chengjie, member of the Standing Committee of the Demonstration Zone Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee, represented the Demonstration Zone in the signing ceremony and delivered a speech.

 

Multiple units from Huzhou, Jiaxing, Ma'anshan, Chuzhou, Nantong, and Lianyungang officially joined the alliance. Deng Chengjie introduced Tongzhouwan from three aspects: national strategic position, transportation location advantages, and investment and development space. He stated that with Nantong's rapid cross-river integrated development, and with the new impetus of joining the Yangtze River Delta Taihu Integration and Innovation Alliance, the Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone will fully leverage its resource endowments as a new space for industrial transformation and upgrading in the Yangtze River Delta, further integrate into the collaborative innovation among cities in the Yangtze River Delta, and work together with cities and units in the alliance to achieve regional openness, win-win cooperation, and shared well-being, contributing the strength of Tongzhouwan to the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.

 
The Yangtze River Delta Taihu Integration and Innovation Alliance was jointly initiated by the Institute of Economics, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, the Yangtze River Delta Integration Development Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the Yangtze River Delta Development Department of the China Asia Economic Development Association. The alliance will promote the flow of economic, technological, and socio-cultural elements in the Yangtze River Delta region from a civil perspective, promoting deep integration and playing a role in empowering the government, promoting communication and interaction between market entities and the government. The alliance will promote collaborative innovation among cities in the Yangtze River Delta, work together to promote regional openness, win-win cooperation, and shared well-being.
