The first extra-large diameter shield machine of the Tongzhou Bay China Railway Construction shield machine base was launched.

Shi Hongjie, deputy secretary of the demonstration zone's Party Working Committee and director of the Management Committee, attended the event and delivered a speech.

The “Jingbin Cooperative” shield tunneling machine is the first ultra-large diameter shield tunneling machine launched by the China Railway Construction Corporation's large shield tunneling machine base, which belongs to the China Railway 14th Bureau Group Equipment Company. The shield tunneling machine has a digging diameter of 13.8 meters, a total length of approximately 123 meters, a total weight of 2900 tons, and a total installed power of 6950 kilowatts. It is one of the most advanced and intelligent shield tunneling machines currently used for high-speed railway tunnels.

 

To highlight the regional characteristics, the shield tunneling machine's cutterhead creatively features a painted design of Tianjin's abbreviation “津”, with a red and yellow color scheme as the base. The vertical line in the middle uses elements from the Tianjin Radio and Television Tower. The three points on the left represent three high-speed trains, representing Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, respectively. The high-speed trains are radiating outwards, symbolizing speed and the rapid development of the integrated Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
 

 

Shi Hongjie pointed out that the China Railway Construction Corporation's large shield tunneling equipment manufacturing base is a major achievement of the strategic cooperation between Nantong City and the China Railway 14th Bureau implemented in the Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone. Following the launch of the first shield tunneling machine in Tongzhouwan on July 6, today's launch of the “Jingbin Cooperative” ultra-large diameter shield tunneling machine further demonstrates the continuous efforts and dedication of Chinese enterprises, represented by the China Railway 14th Bureau, in pushing the development of domestically produced shield tunneling machines from nothing to something, from something to excellence, and from excellence to strength. This fully showcases the China Railway 14th Bureau's rapid development in its southward expansion and deep cultivation of the coastal region, and injects new impetus into Tongzhouwan's efforts to enhance its industrial capabilities and build a 100-billion-yuan high-end equipment industrial cluster.

 

The China Railway 14th Bureau Equipment Company is the first high-end equipment-related state-owned enterprise approved to settle in the Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone. Its China Railway Construction Corporation's large shield tunneling machine base is the only large shield tunneling machine base approved by the China Railway Construction Corporation and is a high-end equipment industrial base developed by the China Railway 14th Bureau. Since settling in the Tongzhouwan High-end Equipment Industrial Park in 2022, it has been tasked with focusing on shield tunneling equipment, mastering key technologies for shield tunneling machines, and achieving integrated management capabilities throughout the entire lifecycle of shield tunneling machines, including tracking, maintenance, and management.

In the next stage, the demonstration zone will continue to enhance its “Everything is smooth in Tongzhouwan, no worries in the bay” business service brand, concentrating its efforts, integrating policies, and gathering resources to provide the best services and strongest support for project construction. It will actively create a first-class development environment where state-owned enterprises dare to act, private enterprises dare to explore, and foreign enterprises dare to invest. It will strive to continuously create a new wave of project attraction, construction, and production on the coastal land, promoting the rapid convergence of high-quality growth points represented by the China Railway 14th Bureau into a new highland for coastal industrial development.
