On the morning of November 27, Xie Qijia, chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Taiwan Science Park Science and Industry Association, led a delegation to Tongzhou Bay for an inspection and exchange. Lu Zhong Hua, Party Secretary of the Demonstration Zone; Yang Jian, Director of the Nantong Municipal Taiwan Affairs Office; and Shi Hongjie, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of the Management Committee of the Demonstration Zone, accompanied the inspection.

At the symposium, Lu Zhong Hua stated that the Tongzhou Bay Demonstration Zone, approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, is a national-level demonstration zone. After more than ten years of development and construction, Tongzhou Bay has become an important coastal port and logistics industry hub in the northern part of the Yangtze River Delta region. The Taiwan Science Park Science and Industry Association covers Taiwan's advantageous industries, including integrated circuits, computer peripherals, communications, optoelectronics, biotechnology, and precision machinery, which highly aligns with the industrial planning of Tongzhou Bay's five industrial parks. Currently, Tongzhou Bay is striving to build itself into a new open gateway in eastern China and a strategic new base for facilitating both domestic and international circulation. We hope that this inspection will further enhance exchanges between the two sides, attract more Taiwanese companies to develop in Tongzhou Bay, and foster closer cooperation.

Xie Qijia expressed gratitude for the warm reception from the Party Committee and Management Committee of the Tongzhou Bay Demonstration Zone and sincerely invited Tongzhou Bay to send representatives to the Taiwan Science Park for an inspection and exchange. He said that the Taiwan Science Park includes three major parks: Hsinchu Science Park, Central Taiwan Science Park, and Southern Taiwan Science Park, with industries covering six major advantageous industries in Taiwan. Tongzhou Bay converges three major national strategies, presenting numerous opportunities, ample space, and promising prospects, making it a fertile ground for Taiwanese businesses to invest and operate. The Taiwan Science Park Science and Industry Association will fully leverage its role as a bridge for communication and coordination between enterprises and the government, actively assisting Tongzhou Bay in connecting with Taiwanese companies.

The inspection team visited the New Sea Outlet Planning Exhibition Hall, Zilang No.1 Primary School Tongzhou Bay Branch, the High-tech Electronic Information Industry Park Wastewater Treatment Plant, and representative enterprises in the park, gaining a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the demonstration zone's development history, strategic positioning, layout planning, locational advantages, and the progress of the “five parks, one city, and one base” construction.

Shi Xingkai, Deputy Party Secretary of the Demonstration Zone; Ni Wei, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee; and heads of various investment promotion departments of the Demonstration Zone participated in the event.
