Australian Wool Auction 45 Week ( 2023/5/11)
The Australian wool market fell again this week, with the AWEX Eastern Market Indicator (EMI) closing at A$1284 per kg, down 26 cents from last week. On the one hand, national supply increased significantly compared to last week, with a total of 43,454 bales offered this week, an increase of 4,616 bales. On the other hand, the global commodity market was weak; and buyer enthusiasm weakened, making it difficult to maintain price increases. The EMI (Eastern Market Price Index) in Australian dollars closed at A$1284 per kg (net weight) this week, down 26 cents/kg or 1.98% from last week's 1310.
