Developing new productivity | Customized rapid printing, 3D printing creates the future "infinite possibilities"
Lifelike dragons, portable phone holders, realistic industrial components... Add a small amount of liquid resin to the 3D printer, and after light exposure, layer upon layer of material solidifies into various vivid models. Recently, a reporter visited Nantong Pine Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone, where workers were busy assembling and testing the latest photopolymer printer. Fan Xinpeng, the company's technical manager, introduced that the product models produced by this printer have higher precision and better surface effects, and this batch of goods will soon be shipped to customers in European and American countries.
Nantong Pine is a high-tech enterprise dedicated to the localization of 3D printing equipment, engaged in the manufacturing of 3D printers and other intelligent equipment. Product applications involve aerospace, medical, automotive, footwear, casting, tooling fixtures, art design, smart hardware, and other fields. Nantong Pine's predecessor was a technology incubation company in Shanghai Pudong. It settled in the Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone in 2014 and gradually grew into a "leader" in the 3D printing segment. It has produced more than ten models of 3D printers, and is competitive in terms of product precision, speed, and cost of use. Its market share in the industry's sub-segment has jumped to second globally and first in China.

"The biggest advantage of 3D printing is customization; you can print whatever you want." Fan Xinpeng told the reporter that 3D printed products can shorten product development cycles. Tooling design that originally took one or two weeks, or even a month, can now be completed in a day or two. The speed from concept to reality is very fast; with consumables and equipment, you can print directly.
During this year's National Two Sessions, Fan Xinpeng paid attention to the frequently used term "new productive forces." In particular, General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the Jiangsu delegation's deliberation gave Fan Xinpeng a glimpse of the broad prospects for 3D printing in the future. "This is a future industry that will change the future models of certain industries, and even the entire supply chain." Fan Xinpeng said, picking up a structural part from a new energy vehicle company. "The current product development cycle is relatively long. For parts like this, if you have an idea today, you can design it and print it out, reducing many steps. In the past, traditional manufacturing would require machining to make molds; developing the molds alone would take a month."

In recent years, with the rapid development of the domestic 3D printing industry, Nantong Pine has shown strong momentum, expanding its leased factory space three times. In the future, it will also acquire land to build its own factory, further expanding its intelligent manufacturing base, and plans to move its Shanghai R&D center to Tongzhou Bay. At the same time, from an initial entrepreneurial team of three people, the parent company now has nearly 200 R&D personnel and holds more than 30 patents. As a member of the R&D team, Fan Xinpeng has quite a bit of feeling: "The output of practical knowledge patents has brought international "voice" to the industry, and nearly 80% of Nantong Pine's end customers are from overseas."
In Fan Xinpeng's view, multi-variety, small-batch, and personalized products are increasingly in line with the development trend of many industries today, and Nantong Pine's products can undoubtedly meet these needs. He said that the company will continue to follow the path of independent R&D combining "hardware and software." While iterating and upgrading 3D printers, it will also pay more attention to digital transformation in the production process to improve the efficiency of printer production.
