Demonstration Zone and Jiangsu Institute of Technology Deepen Cooperation to Explore New Paths for Industry-Education Integration

On April 26th, with the unveiling of a red cloth, the Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone and Jiangsu Institute of Technology jointly established a student employment base and a production-education-research cooperation base in the Tongzhouwan Modern Textile Industrial Park. This is a beneficial attempt to promote the adjustment of the city's textile industry structure and jointly explore new models and paths for production-education integration.

Shi Xingkai pointed out in his speech that the Tongzhouwan Modern Textile Industrial Park, as a key platform for the development of the textile industry in Nantong City, is committed to making up for the shortcomings in key aspects of textile fabric processing and striving to build a national pilot zone for the transformation, upgrading, green, ecological, and sustainable development of the textile printing and dyeing industry. With the global economic integration and rapid technological development, the traditional textile industry is facing the important task of transformation and upgrading. Production-education integration is the key to promoting industrial upgrading and cultivating high-quality technical and skilled personnel. The Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone will cooperate with Jiangsu Institute of Technology to jointly create a more open, innovative, and vibrant Tongzhouwan, providing young people with a stage to showcase their talents and pursue excellence.

Deng Hailong said in his speech that the Tongzhouwan Modern Textile Industrial Park, as an important engine for the development of Nantong's high-end textile industry, has always been a close partner of Jiangsu Institute of Technology in cooperation and development. The establishment of the production-education-research cooperation base and the student employment base is an important measure for both sides to deepen cooperation and achieve common development. It will further strengthen cooperation and exchanges between government, schools, and enterprises, providing strong support for cultivating more high-quality and highly skilled applied talents, injecting new vitality and impetus into the future development of Nantong's textile industry, and jointly creating a better future.

At the meeting, Jiangsu Institute of Technology signed cooperation agreements on a "production-education-research cooperation base" and a "graduate employment base" with the Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone Economic Development Bureau and the Modern Textile Industrial Park, respectively.

Long Jiajie, researcher at the Jiangsu Provincial Advanced Textile Engineering Technology Center and professor at Soochow University; Zhou Jian, industrial professor at Jiangsu Institute of Technology and general manager of Kede Bao Bao Ling Lining Fabric (Nantong) Co., Ltd.; and Kong Que, associate professor at the Jiangsu Provincial Advanced Textile Engineering Technology Center, shared and exchanged new technologies such as supercritical carbon dioxide fluid dyeing technology, new technological practices for energy-saving and low-carbon development of printing and dyeing enterprises, and research on the waterproof and breathable performance of antibacterial and self-cleaning home textile fabrics.

In recent years, the Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone has deeply implemented cross-river integration, actively integrated into the construction of the Yangtze River Estuary Industrial Innovation Collaborative Zone, carried out high-frequency industrial, technological, and talent recruitment activities, promoted the co-construction of industrial innovation cooperation platforms with well-known universities and research institutions, further strengthened cooperation in cutting-edge scientific and technological fields and basic research with government, schools, and enterprises, achieved resource sharing and complementary advantages, helped the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, the key development of emerging industries, and the cultivation of future industries, continuously improved the aggregation degree of the industrial chain, gathered the surging power of new productive forces, and continuously created a new chapter for the high-quality development of the demonstration zone.

After the meeting, the participating teachers and students of Jiangsu Institute of Technology visited the Tongzhouwan Yangtze River New Estuary Planning Exhibition Hall and some enterprises in the Tongzhouwan Modern Textile Industrial Park.

About 100 people attended the event, including relevant bureau and office heads of the demonstration zone and representatives of enterprises in the modern textile industrial park.
