On May 21, the demonstration zone held a special investment promotion event, attracting over 130 well-known enterprises and over 200 guests from the upstream and downstream of the cosmetics packaging and hardware accessories R&D and manufacturing industry chain. They came together to experience the strong development momentum and broad prospects of Tongzhou Bay. The expectation and favor stem from Tongzhou Bay's natural advantages of "connecting the river, the sea, and Shanghai." It is becoming a highly competitive new industrial space around Shanghai. Tongzhou Bay is located at the "T"-shaped intersection of the golden waterway and the coast. It has both the advantages of access to the river and the sea, and the advantage of being close to Shanghai. With the rapid rise of the new sea outlet in Tongzhou Bay, the integration effect of Tongzhou Bay with Shanghai and southern Jiangsu is becoming increasingly prominent. It has the foundation and the ability to prioritize the spillover and economic radiation of industries from Shanghai, southern Jiangsu, and surrounding areas. In 2023, Jiangsu Province approved the establishment of the Tongzhou Bay Green Chemical Expansion Zone (main port), providing broad development space for Tongzhou Bay to accommodate green petrochemical industry clusters.

The expectation and favor stem from Tongzhou Bay's mark as a "national strategic new highland," with a bright blueprint of converging opportunities unfolding grandly. In the Yangtze River Delta integrated development strategy, Tongzhou Bay is one of the most competitive development platforms in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta and around Shanghai. In the Yangtze River Economic Belt development strategy, Tongzhou Bay is an important sea outlet to alleviate the increasing pressure on the Yangtze River's transport capacity and a key platform for the transformation and upgrading of large-scale port-based industries along the river. By leveraging the two-way distribution advantages of sea-to-river and river-to-sea transportation, and facilitating the flow of domestic and international factors along the rivers and coasts, Tongzhou Bay will open up new channels for enterprises in the Yangtze River Economic Belt to go global.

The expectation and favor stem from Tongzhou Bay's strong driving force of "cross-river integration and striving for maritime strength," enabling government and enterprises to work hand in hand, rowing in the same boat towards a brilliant future. Tongzhou Bay firmly grasps the opportunities of cross-river integration and seaward development, actively integrates into the co-construction of the Yangtze River Estuary Industrial Innovation Collaborative Zone, takes the lead in the construction of the Tongzhou Bay petrochemical dual-circulation base, and makes every effort to grasp projects, cultivate superior industries, and increase the total volume. The chain-like cluster development effect is initially showing, and the development trend of "moving towards the new" is continuously consolidated. Tongzhou Bay continuously strengthens its "subcontractor mentality," continuously optimizes the business environment, improves urban functional supporting facilities, and fully guarantees the needs of enterprises and the expectations of talents.
