Demonstration Zone holds 2024 Rural Food Safety Work and Jiangsu Provincial Food Safety Regulations Training Conference

Recently, the demonstration zone held a 2024 rural food safety work meeting and a training session on the "Jiangsu Provincial Food Safety Regulations". The meeting reviewed the rural food safety work in the previous stage, analyzed the current situation, identified shortcomings, and deployed and planned key tasks for rural food safety in the next stage. Qin Jian, member of the Party Working Committee of the demonstration zone, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
The meeting pointed out:
Food safety is related to thousands of households and is an important part of ensuring people's livelihood. As the forefront of the city's efforts to become a strong maritime power, the demonstration zone should thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important statements on food safety, fully implement food safety responsibilities, and resolutely safeguard the bottom line of food safety.
The meeting required:
We should further enhance our understanding of the importance of food safety work, keep a tight rein on food safety, and regard public satisfaction, health, and safety as our goals. We should further prevent food safety accidents, formulate emergency response plans for food safety accidents, take timely control measures, and prevent the spread of hazards. We should further apply what we have learned, comprehensively improve our work capabilities and levels, and effectively solve practical problems in food safety work.
At the meeting, relevant responsible comrades reviewed the rural food safety work in the previous stage, read out the "Notice on the Establishment of the Sanyu Town Food Safety Committee", explained the "Tongzhouwan Demonstration Zone Food Safety Officer Work Assessment Rules", and organized training on the "Jiangsu Provincial Food Safety Regulations". Three units gave exchange speeches.
Relevant responsible comrades from the demonstration zone's market supervision bureau, Sanyu Town, and the First Office, as well as secretaries of various villages (communities), attended the meeting.
