From June 9th to 12th, local time, Lu Zhong Hua, Party Committee Secretary of the Demonstration Zone, led a delegation to the UK to conduct economic and trade cooperation exchanges, visiting relevant institutions and key enterprises. The delegation promoted the Demonstration Zone's strategic planning, industrial layout, and business environment, fostering communication and exchanges between our region and London in the fields of economy, trade, and technology. The visit focused on attracting foreign investment projects and achieving pragmatic cooperation results.

While in London, Lu Zhong Hua visited Li Peng, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in the UK; Lise Bertelsen, Secretary-General of the British-Chinese Trade Association; Joshua Howay, Consul for East China Regional Cooperation at the British Consulate-General in Shanghai; William Knight, Vice Chairman of CBBDC; and conducted site visits to companies such as CBRE. In-depth exchanges were held on expanding cooperation areas, attracting investment in the zone, and building a platform for Sino-British economic and trade cooperation.

Lu Zhong Hua's delegation also visited Zhang Zhen, Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce's Economic and Trade Representative Office in the UK. Jointly with the Provincial Department of Commerce's UK representative office, they held the "China Tongzhou Bay - UK London Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Meeting." Representatives from 20 enterprises and institutions, including the Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce in the UK, Urban Development Company, HSBC, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in the UK, Invest UK, PWC, China Petroleum London Company, and the Sino-British Youth Entrepreneurship Association, were invited to attend. Lu Zhong Hua stated that Tongzhou Bay, located in the heart of the Yangtze River Delta region, is an important part of the Shanghai metropolitan area, a new open gateway for the Chinese economy, and the intersection of domestic and international dual circulation. It is in a period of vigorous and sustained rapid development. With the deepening of its internationalization strategy, Tongzhou Bay is striving to become a gathering place for British companies in China, contributing to the promotion of Sino-British friendly cooperation and achieving mutual benefit and win-win results. He expressed hope that more British companies will learn about, investigate, choose, and invest in Tongzhou Bay, jointly writing a new chapter of cooperation between China and the UK.
