On the afternoon of July 8, the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the Demonstration Zone held its second plenary meeting (expanded) of 2024. The meeting earnestly studied the important speeches delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping recently, conveyed and studied the spirit of relevant central, provincial, and municipal meetings, and collectively studied the "Regulations of the Communist Party of China on Disciplinary Actions". Bao Xiaowang, member of the Party Working Committee of the Demonstration Zone and secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.

The meeting pointed out:

More than half of the year's work has been completed. All units, Sanyu Town, and the First Office should strengthen their sense of urgency and responsibility, focus on the established goals and tasks, strive for "double over-half" achievements, and produce a satisfactory "mid-term report" with the actual results of the district's political and legal work to welcome the successful convening of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The meeting emphasized:

We must uphold political loyalty as our "original aspiration" and achieve new improvements in Party leadership over political and legal affairs. We must thoroughly implement the "Regulations on Political and Legal Work," organize and carry out political inspections and "review" special inspections, carefully summarize the work of the "Political Loyalty Education Month" for the political and legal system, and regularly conduct joint training and political rotation training to consolidate the ideological foundation of loyalty to the Party. We must focus on high-quality development as the "center" and make new contributions to legal protection. We must organize and carry out legal publicity and legal check-ups, and extensively carry out case-based legal interpretation activities in villages, communities, and enterprises. We must promote the "I do practical things for the masses" activities in the political and legal system in a project-based manner, and provide efficient and convenient political and legal services for enterprise development and public affairs. We must focus on stability and harmony as the "focus" and demonstrate new responsibilities in building a safe and peaceful environment. We must deepen the normalized fight against gangsters and evil, and continue to increase the crackdown on illegal and criminal activities. We must create a safe and peaceful brand for the demonstration zone, adapting measures to local conditions to highlight brands, establish images, and emphasize services, and promote the improvement and efficiency of safe and peaceful construction.

At the meeting, eight units, including the court, procuratorate, and public security bureau, made exchange speeches on their previous work and plans for the next stage.

Zhang Ruicheng, member of the Party Working Committee of the Demonstration Zone, deputy secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and director of the Public Security Bureau, and all members of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee attended the meeting.
