On July 15, Wu Mingli, dean of the School of Electrical Engineering at Beijing Jiaotong University, and his party visited the demonstration zone, accompanied by Lu Zhonghua, secretary of the Party Working Committee of the demonstration zone.

Wu Mingli fully affirmed the achievements of the Tongzhou Bay Demonstration Zone in industrial planning, project construction, and technological innovation. He pointed out that Tongzhou Bay continues to optimize its business environment and accelerate the cultivation of superior industries, with huge development potential. The School of Electrical Engineering at Beijing Jiaotong University is oriented towards national strategies and major industry needs in the fields of rail transit and electric power energy, continuously building a first-class electrical engineering college with distinctive characteristics. It is hoped to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Tongzhou Bay in many fields such as industry-academia-research, actively promoting the transformation and landing of high-quality resources in Tongzhou Bay, jointly building the North China Jiaotong University Yangtze River Estuary Collaborative Innovation Research Center, achieving deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, and working together to write a new chapter in school-local cooperation.

Lu Zhonghua stated that Tongzhou Bay adheres to the development of new productivity as an important focus, actively participates in the planning and construction of the Yangtze River Estuary Industrial Innovation Collaborative Zone, and strives to build the Tongzhou Bay petrochemical dual-circulation base. The School of Electrical Engineering at Beijing Jiaotong University has a long history of disciplines, strong scientific research capabilities, and fruitful teaching achievements. It is expected that this visit will serve as an opportunity to combine the industrial advantages, policy advantages, and environmental advantages of the demonstration zone with the technological advantages and talent advantages of the School of Electrical Engineering at Beijing Jiaotong University, focusing on the direction of the demonstration zone's industrial development, accurately matching development needs, accelerating the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and achieving mutual empowerment and two-way development between schools and localities.

Before the meeting, Wu Mingli and his party visited the Tongzhou Bay Planning Exhibition Hall, the High-end Equipment Port Industrial Park, and the High-tech Comprehensive Industrial Park, gaining a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the development history of the Tongzhou Bay Demonstration Zone, the planning layout of “five parks, one city, and one base,” and industrial development.

Deng Chengjie, member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee of the demonstration zone, and the main responsible comrades of relevant units accompanied the inspection.
