1) On May 20, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held a symposium with non-communist personages at Zhongnanhai to solicit opinions and suggestions from leaders of the central committees of various democratic parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and representatives of non-party individuals on the CPC Central Committee's decision on further comprehensively deepening reforms and advancing Chinese-style modernization. Xi Jinping presided over the meeting and delivered an important speech. The CPC Central Committee sent a message of condolence to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
